Easter and Coping with Coronavirus

Easter is coming and families are our number one priority. Keeping them well and happy is essential.especially when the whole world is impacted by Coronavirus. While we are isolated from others, there are ways to help ourselves and to help others too.

Many parents have been home schooling their children or are supervising studies sent by teachers. School holidays begin at the end of this week and it will also be Easter, but families won't be able to go on the traditional holiday because of isolation requirements. There are activities we can do at home though, to keep children busy and happy. Craft and cooking activities are easy especially if you have computer access so you can search for creative ideas. Here are some to get you started

  • Make Easter hats and cards
  • make a memory game with the kids using pictures cut from supermarket catalogues
  • have a treasure hunt using little chickens made from cotton wool balls.
  • paint eggs with pretty colours and designs
  • make hot cross buns with the kids
  • Prepare a pretty nest outside with the children for the Easter Bunny to put surprises in on Easter Sunday.

Happy Easter everyone.
