Kids can take interesting photos

Even four-year-olds can take interesting photos and as the seasons change and autumn is a great time to let the kids experiment. Autumn leaves are very attractive and with encouragement kids can think up a lot of activities using them which can be photographed. They can make piles, jump or roll in them, float leaves on water, use them in collages, make patterns on the ground and use them as decoration on clothing.

As the season progresses, bare trees become particularly beautiful with their lacework of branches against a sky of grey or blue. Encourage the children to photograph trees of different shapes. Look at the sky for wind-swept clouds and sunsets to photograph., frost on the grass, magpies finding worms, pools or dishes of water that have turned to ice, dogs or horses wearing rugs, the family rugged up and working in the garden and of course any winter blooms that brighten your place. All these scenes can be captured by the children using a digital camera or your smart phone. A perfect way to get the kids outside on a cold day and you’ll be surprised at what takes their eye and how they photograph the environment.

My granddaughter was excited about the interesting shapes in this cloud photo she took.
