We all want our children to be safe and children and guns are never safe together. Sadly this week three Australian children have been shot in separate incidents. One, an 11year old girl, is critically injured, but a three year old girl and a 17 year old boy died of their injuries. There are many questions to be answered and first of all why were there guns near these children? Children should never be near unsecured firearms.Inquiries into the tragedies are continuing and it is likely that a domestic violence incident was taking place when the three year old was accidentally shot. Perhaps she picked up the loaded shot gun herself.
